The VORF Membership
The VORF membership is Open to any person or corporate entity provided he/she/it is of good will and is ready to sacrifice time and resources for the common good according to our vision and mission.
ADMISSION OF MEMBERS.
- Admission into THE VORF, shall not be based on ethnic background, religious, social,cultural, political affiliation, or gender (sex).
- It shall be through an expressed desire to belong with the following content:
- A mail/call of correspondence through any of our social media handles to the head office.
- Full address of a valid identity, two passport size photographs, a photocopy of the receipt of registration, and other necessary documents as per each case in a given context.
- An extraordinary meeting will be held by the board members to review the application over a probation period of one to three months.
MEMBERSHIP
- Membership into THE VORF is only after the affirmative response of the extraordinary meeting of the board members. The newly approved member shall pay the sum of (fifteen thousands) 15,000cfa (25$), the amount required from all members as subscription once in a member’s life and a sum of (fifty thousands) 50,000cfa (83$), to be paid within three months as donation for the Basic Annual Project Fund (BAPF).
- Membership shall be unlimited.
TYPES OF MEMBERS
Active Members
These are persons who regularly pay dues and are active in group activities. They have the right to vote and to be voted. It is obligatory for them to attend seminars, workshops, outreach schemes and conferences except on permission.
Passive members
These are members who pay their dues but do not necessarily participate in meetings and activities. They can vote but cannot be voted. It is optional for them to attend seminars, workshops, outreach programs and conferences.
Corporate Members
They are groups of persons/Association/foundation etc. They contribute in cash or in kind. They cannot vote or be voted as board members.
Donors
They are individuals or group(s) who can contribute in cash or kind, at will. No right to vote or being voted. Their contribution of any kind is always welcome
Promoters
They are persons within or out (institutions) of the foundation who can contribute in cash or kind: monthly, quarterly or yearly, a chosen amount of money that can be used as part or whole of the amount needed to run a project or upkeep.
NB: An active or passive member can be a donor or promoter of the foundation.
WITHDRAWAL OF MEMBERSHIP
- Membership shall be considered withdrawn upon non-performance of any of the above commitments as spelled out in article 8.3. He/she will be notified by the President in writing and if no response within a month, then such a person will be considered withdrawn except otherwise reconsidered by a meeting of the board of directors.
- Any member that brings disorder in the association shall be suspended for a month after a prior notification by the president through a formal letter. If such a practice persists, the individual will be expelled after an extraordinary session by the board within a month.
- Each member pledges to honor the commitment to abide by the constitution and the internal rules and regulations binding the association for the common good.
